Insurance
Insurance and claims tracking for your practice
Record each patient's insurance policy, then track every claim against it — amount claimed, amount approved, and status — linked to the real invoice it relates to.
Quzek's Insurance module keeps a patient's policy details (provider, policy and group numbers, coverage type, effective dates) alongside a running list of claims, each with its own amount, status and optional link to the invoice it was billed against.
What insurance tracking does
-
🪪
Policy details on record
Provider name, policy and group numbers, coverage type, and effective/expiry dates, all on the patient profile.
-
📄
Claims linked to invoices
Every claim can reference the real invoice it was billed against, keeping billing and insurance in sync.
-
💰
Claimed vs. approved amounts
Track what was claimed against what was actually approved, with a status from submitted through paid.
-
🔒
Enable it for the professions that need it
Insurance is a toggleable module — on by default for physiotherapy, psychology, and general practice packs.
How to use insurance tracking
-
1
Open a patient's profile
Go to the Insurance tab on any patient's profile.
-
2
Add a policy
Click "Add policy" and enter the provider, policy number, and coverage details.
-
3
Log a claim
Under the policy, click "Add claim" and enter the amount claimed, optionally linked to an invoice.
-
4
Track the outcome
Update the claim's status and approved amount as it moves through processing.
Because policies and claims live on the patient record alongside invoices and appointments, insurance tracking is never a separate spreadsheet disconnected from real billing.
